The very best Elvis judges anywhere
THE KING’S COURT IN COLDWATER A year ago … if you mentioned “Coldwater” … most people might have thought you were referring to the Canadian Seventies group “A Foot In Coldwater”. Not anymore. Last year Doug McKenzie and Darlene McKay staged the first TRIBUTE WEEKEND at the Coldwater Legion. Elvis and other tribute artists donated their time to help stage a very successful weekend fundraiser for the Coldwater Legion…raising in excess of $10,000. Fresh from that triumph … Darlene and Doug, along with many volunteers staged Coldwater’s “SECOND ANNUAL TRIBUTE WEEKEND”. This time they were kind enough to invite representatives from THE KING’S COURT , Nevin and Heather Grant, to share in the activies and help them select an Adult Tribute Artist and a Youth Tribute Artists for special thanks for their commitment to the event. Tribute performers were in action Friday evening from 7PM to 1:30AM …Saturday 1PM to 1AM and Sunday afternoon (Gospel Show). The artists entertained on both floors of the legion …doing a set downstairs…then moving upstairs to do it again. Among those performing were Doug McKenzie (Roy Orbison-Elvis-Buddy Holly), Terry James (Dean Martin-Frank Sinatra), Rick Duin (Johnny Cash-Elvis), Bill Gallant (Elvis), Jeff Marsh (Elvis-Garthy Brooks-Billy Ray Cyrus),Joey Cundari (Elvis), Dawn Peddie (Patsy Kline), Elise Lewis (Shania Twain), Garry Reader (Marty Robbins), Robert Pooran (Elvis), Geph Mitchell (Elvis), Kelvis (Elvis) and Youth Elvis performers Aaron Gallant, Zachary Peddie and Steven Pelleriti. May I recommend you put Coldwater on your “must-go” agenda for 2008? There’s a Saturday Tribute Parade … a great motorcycle proficiency display by Torontos Police motorcycle force …the traditional Saturday evening TEN DOLLAR STEAK DINNER which is awesome..you can cut your steak with your fork!!! Enjoy Breakfast With The Artists Sunday morning 8-Noon followed by a special Gospel Show. Oh … mustn’t forget … the KING’S COURT named JEFF MARSH the recipient of the Adult Tribute Award and Steven Pelleriti received the Youth tribute artist award. Honourable mentions went to Rick Duin and Garry Reader. And the greatest news …the amount of $$$ raised for the Coldwater Legion easily exceeded the 2006 total. We’ll see you in Coldwater in May 2008!!!!
