2011 LONDON CAMP TRILLIUM FUNDRAISER:
What a great way to welcome in spring of 2011!
March 19th was the 4th annual Elvis and Legends show at London’s Marconi Club for Camp Trillium.
Our hosts Randy Anderson , Dan Coursol and their families put together a solid lineup of amazing talent, featuring Elvis, Elton John, Tom Jones, Bobby Darin and Waylon Jennings.
Marcus Wells made his London debut as Sir Elton John and had the joint jumpin’ to Crocodile Rock, Bennie and the Jets and Rocket Man. His tribute is spot on from the voice to the look to the outfits. High energy and great fun!
A great surprise was having Pete Paquette doing his Vegas Elvis. Pete, a long time crowd favorite doing early years was just as impressive doing the power ballads of the 70’s. During “Unchained Melody”—you could have heard a pin drop in the sold out hall.
What can you say about Tim “E” Hendry other than from the time he saunters onto the stage to the time he leaves—he excudes charisma and charm. I’ve been known to say he even “sweats like Elvis”!!!! Very exciting performance.
Many other great acts rounded out the night with John Cigan, Matt Martin, Anthony Carbone, Dwayne Bezaire, Gord Bell and Dan Coursol.
Some entertainers have dual personas—Anthony also doing Tom Jones and incorporating an audience participation segment for Delilah! Gord Bell showed off some smooth dance moves as Bobby Darin. Dan Coursol also did his great tribute to Conway Twitty.
One of the highlights had to be Dwayne and Peggy Bezaire. Dwayne as Waylon and Willie while Peggy outfitted him with either cowboy hat or braids to match whichever singer as he sang “A good hearted woman in love with a good timin’ man”. Their antics along with Peggy’s expressions were priceless. It was laugh out loud funny.
Desiree Anderson and Vanesse Melo added color and style to the evening by serving as background dancers for the guys!
